Description
The rat IFN-γ monoclonal antibody DB-12 is an IgG1 isotype antibody with low neutralizing activity. It is highly specific for rat IFN-γ and does not cross-react with mouse IFN-γ or human IFN-γ. Due to its excellent performance as capture antibody, DB-12 is widely used as a coating antibody in sandwich ELISA and ELISPOT assays for sensitive detection of rat IFN-γ. In addition, the antibody is suitable for immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissues and for intracellular cytokine staining applications.
Analyte information
Description
IFN-γ is a potent immune regulating cytokine that plays a central role in activating the body’s defense against infections and malignant cells. By enhancing antigen presentation and boosting the activity of T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, IFN-γ drives strong antiviral and anti tumor responses. It is primarily produced by activated T helper 1 (Th1) cells, cytotoxic T cells, γδ T cells, NK cells, and natural killer T (NKT) cells, making it a key indicator of cellular immune activation in research and diagnostic applications.
