Description
The mouse anti-rat IFN-γ monoclonal antibody (clone DB-13) is an IgG1 isotype antibody with very low neutralizing activity. It is highly specific for rat IFN-γ and does not cross-react with rodent IFN-α1 and -β or to mouse or human IFN-γ. The DB-13 antibody performs effectively in ELISA assays and is applicable in immunohistochemical staining.
Analyte information
Description
IFN-γ is a potent immune regulating cytokine that plays a central role in activating the body’s defense against infections and malignant cells. By enhancing antigen presentation and boosting the activity of T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, IFN-γ drives strong antiviral and anti tumor responses. It is primarily produced by activated T helper 1 (Th1) cells, cytotoxic T cells, γδ T cells, NK cells, and natural killer T (NKT) cells, making it a key indicator of cellular immune activation in research and diagnostic applications.
