Description
The monoclonal anti-mouse IL-9 antibody recognizes both natural and recombinant mouse IL-9. The antibody is suitable for a range of immunological applications, including ELISA and ELISPOT and neutralization assays.
Description
IL-9 is produced predominantly produced by CD4+ Th9 cells, but can also be produced by Th2, Th17, and regulatory T cells (Tregs), mast cells and ILC2. IL-9 is generally considered as pleiotropic cytokine with predominantly pro-inflammatory functions, although it can be context dependent. It promotes mast proliferation and activation, enhances airway inflammation and mucus production, and contributes to autoimmunity like experimental encephalomyelitis (EAE).
