Description
The mouse anti-rat IFN-γ monoclonal antibody DB-14 (IgG2a) is a well-characterized antibody with demonstrated neutralizing activity against rat IFN-γ. DB-14 exhibits high specificity for rat IFN-γ and shows no cross-react with rodent IFN-α1, IFN-β, mouse IFN-γ, or human IFN-γ, providing high specificity for rat IFN-γ.
In Western blot applications, DB-14 recognizes the 14 kDa and 18 kDa polypeptide forms of rat IFN-γ. The antibody is suitable tool for use in ELISA assays and immunohistochemistry.

Analyte information
Description
IFN-γ is a potent immune regulating cytokine that plays a central role in activating the body’s defense against infections and malignant cells. By enhancing antigen presentation and boosting the activity of T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, IFN-γ drives strong antiviral and anti tumor responses. It is primarily produced by activated T helper 1 (Th1) cells, cytotoxic T cells, γδ T cells, NK cells, and natural killer T (NKT) cells, making it a key indicator of cellular immune activation in research and diagnostic applications.
