Description
The affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal antibody specifically binds to and neutralizes human and rhesus monkey IL-12p70, including both natural and recombinant IL-12p70. It can be used to inhibit IL-12 activity and induce Th2 polarization. The antibody is suitable for use in ELISA and ELISPOT assays and Western blot analysis.
Description
Interleukin-12 (IL-12), also referred as IL-12p70, is a pro-inflammatory cytokine with a molecular weight of 70 kDa. It is composed of two subunits: IL-12p35 (35 kDa) and IL-12p40 (40 kDa). It plays a role in the immune response by inducing the differentiation of naive CD4 T cells into Th1 cells and activating natural killer (NK) cells. IL-12 is primarily produced by activated antigen-presenting cells (APC), including dendritic cells, macrophages, monocytes and B cells.
